A world leader in electronic equipment, including computers, printers, and digital cameras, contacted Avidaid with a problem..
The work stations they used ran under the UNIX operating system. Though they still intended to use their UNIX servers, they wanted to move to Microsoft Windows for their work stations. As a result, test platforms had to change and both the software and interfaces had to be redesigned for the Windows environment.
Avidaid designed a new database to fit their needs and installed an Oracle Relational Database Management System (RDBMS) hosted on a UNIX server. Avidaid went on to design and develop new software to run on the Microsoft Windows work stations and provided user manuals and end user training.
